Rupture of the Wheel

I was the art director and lead animator for Kapil Seshasayee's "Rupture of the Wheel" music video. Kapil's unique blend of art rock, Indian classical, and R&B creates an intelligent and thought-provoking sound that I was thrilled to bring to life. With funding from Creative Scotland, Director Matthew Cowan came up with a concept that involved twirling zoetrope animations appearing on and around objects that are associated with recording creativity. The animations create a mesmerizing 'wheel' that becomes increasingly distorted as the song progresses, until it eventually shatters. It was an incredible project to work on, and I'm proud of what we were able to create together.
